Position and Main Responsibilities

About the role

We are looking for someone to design, implement, operate, and optimize a service provider’s network infrastructure, ensuring the availability, performance, and scalability of telecommunications services in accordance with established SLAs. We currently have two open positions for this role.

Responsibilities

  • Design and deploy network architectures for service provider environments (MPLS, Segment Routing, L2VPN/L3VPN).
  • Configure and manage advanced routing protocols: BGP (eBGP/iBGP, routing policies), OSPF, and IS-IS.
  • Implement and maintain transport services over MPLS networks: LDP, RSVP-TE, and Fast Reroute.
  • Operate core and edge equipment platforms: Cisco ASR9K, NCS, CRS, or equivalent.
  • Managing QoS in multiservice environments: classification, marking, queuing, shaping, and policing.
  • Perform highly complex troubleshooting on production networks while minimizing mean time to resolution (MTTR).
  • Collaborate with Tier 1 providers on peering, transit, and cross-domain incident resolution.
  • Document configurations, topologies, and operating procedures (SOPs, runbooks).
  • Participate in capacity planning and network growth projections.
  • Assist with critical incident response, including rotating on-call shifts outside regular working hours.

Requirements

  • Degree in Telecommunications, Electronics, Systems Engineering, or a related field (preferred but not required; demonstrable experience is sufficient).
  • Valid CCNP Service Provider certification. Required.
  • At least 5 years of experience in network operations in service provider environments (ISP, carrier, telecommunications operator).
  • Verifiable experience with BGP, MPLS, and core network architectures.
  • Experience in incident management in 24/7 production environments.
  • Proficiency in IGP (multi-area OSPF, IS-IS), QoS (DiffServ, LLQ, CBWFQ, shaping), and advanced CLI.
  • Cisco ASR 9000 / NCS series platforms or equivalent (Juniper/Nokia).

Desirable

  • CCIE Service Provider certification or in the process of obtaining it.
  • Network automation: Python, Ansible, YANG/NETCONF.
  • Experience with Nokia SR-OS or Juniper Junos in service provider environments.
  • Knowledge of SDN/NFV as applied to service providers.
  • Technical English for reading documentation and communicating with suppliers.
