CCNP Data Center Engineer

About the role

We are looking for someone to design, implement, and operate the data center infrastructure, ensuring high availability, security, and scalability of the hosted services, with a focus on switching, storage, virtualization, and automation technologies.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement data center network architectures: Spine-Leaf, VXLAN/EVPN, and FabricPath.
• Manage high-speed switching: Cisco Nexus 5K/7K/9K, VDC, FEX, and vPC configuration.
• Configure and operate network storage solutions: Fibre Channel (FC), FCoE, NFS, and iSCSI.
• Implement and maintain network virtualization technologies: NSX and ACI (Application Centric Infrastructure).
• Manage server infrastructure: UCS (Unified Computing System), blade chassis, and service profiles.
• Ensuring availability and disaster recovery: clustering, replication, and DRP.
• Perform Layer 2/3 troubleshooting in high-density environments with critical internal traffic.
• Manage data center orchestration and automation tools (DCNM, Intersight, Ansible).
• Document architectures, change management procedures, and operational runbooks.
• Work with security teams to implement microsegmentation and access policies.

Requirements

• Degree in Telecommunications, Systems, Electronics, or a related field.
• Valid CCNP Data Center certification. Required.
• At least 5 years of experience in data center infrastructure operations.
• Verifiable experience with Cisco Nexus and fabric technologies (VXLAN/EVPN, ACI).
• Experience with Nexus Dashboard is required.
• Experience in production environments with stringent availability SLAs.
• Storage (FC zoning, FCoE, NFS, iSCSI), Cisco UCS servers, and virtualization (VMware vSphere/ESXi, NSX).

Desirable

• CCIE Data Center certification or Cisco ACI/UCS certifications.
• Experience with hybrid cloud solutions (AWS Direct Connect, Azure ExpressRoute).
• Knowledge of containers and Kubernetes in a data center environment.
• VMware VCP or NSX certification.
• Experience with ITSM tools (ServiceNow, Jira).
